A Structured Progression
The world of cigars is nuanced and exacting. Master of Cigars introduces it with Essentials, the recommended entry point. It then advances through a sequenced curriculum of four credential levels. Each program is defined by precise competencies and assessed standards.
At advanced levels, study branches into Cuban and New World pathways, alongside a Sommelier track for hospitality professionals. The structure protects continuity and completeness — so students build knowledge in full, with clarity.
Our Methodology
Programs are designed to transmit knowledge and verify understanding through application. Each module is reinforced with checks of comprehension and feedback. At advanced levels, students complete assessed presentations and independent research.
Tastings are conducted to calibrate and develop sensory acuity. Blind protocols train the ability to decode a cigar’s organoleptic characteristics and articulate them in precise language.
Expert-Led Immersion
Where possible, learning is strengthened through proximity to the people and places that shape cigars. Programs include sessions led by representatives of cigar houses — owners, growers and rollers — alongside industry specialists and experienced cigar sommeliers.
Training extends into cigar shops and lounges, within real service conditions. At Master levels, participants visit fields, fermentation and ageing rooms, as well as factories, to observe and perform key processes first-hand.
Assessment and Credentials
Credentials issued by Master of Cigars are earned through assessed examination, aligned with the same standards that govern the programs. They confirm competencies, the ability to apply them in practice, and alignment with our values.
Certificates and Diplomas are publicly verifiable via a unique identifier and QR code. They are designed to build trust, signal quality, and stand as proof of excellence worldwide.
